Genyodectes serus

The enigmatic Genyodectes was the second ever named non-avian dinosaur from the South American continent, and it still remains a little known and mysterious animal to this day. The only remains known is an incomplete snout; which includes large, knife-shaped teeth. These jaws and teeth most closely resemble those of Ceratosaurus, and Genyodectes is considered to be one of the only other known members of the Ceratosauridae family. It was estimated to be a medium-sized theropod like it's relative; growing to an adult length of 6.25 meters (20 feet). Since only the front portion of the skull is known, it is not certain whether Genyodectes had a nasal horn or not.
